Since establishing his practice in 2007, David Appleyard has developed a substantial portfolio that includes studio projects, site-specific works, and curatorial events across the United Kingdom. Each project has introduced distinct narratives and challenges, contributing to a diverse and evolving body of work.
At the core of Appleyard’s practice is storytelling through objects and installations imbued with symbolic and historical meaning. His projects span sculpture, found objects, architectural interventions, time-based works, engagement activities, and printed media. By utilising a broad array of materials and processes, he has created a wide range of temporary and permanent artworks of varying scale across the UK.
